Maritime Mobile on the Mighty Murray River

The "M.V. Nooralie" was built by the family and launched in 1984. She is 62ft long, draws 2'6"of water and is powered by a Perkins 6-354 diesel engine, cruising speed is around 7 mph. at 1,700 rpm.  A 2.6kva alternator handles all the 240v. power requirements such as the washing machine, microwave oven and air conditioning etc. 12 volts is supplied from batteries which is charged from a solar panel as well as the alternators on the main engine.

She is fitted out with 3 cabins and can sleep 7 people before beds have to be made up in the lounge, and is fully air conditioned, Shower and toilet are separate as is the laundry.

  M.V. Nooralie was the Commodore boat for the Riverland fleet in 1988 Australian Bi-centennial cruise.
